DVD Review – The Rolling Stones – Olé Olé Olé! A Trip Across Latin America – Eagle Rock Entertainment
“Olé Olé Olé! A Trip Across Latin America” is more than a concert film or behind-the-scenes documentary. I walked away from viewing it with a real appreciation of the connection the Latin American fans have with not only The Rolling Stones but the overall power of music! They are a spirited collective of music lovers who truly appreciate whatever comes their way.
I’ve seen several documentaries and concert DVD’s based in Latin America from a range of artists such as Richie Kotzen, A-Ha, Megadeth, Simply Red and Iron Maiden. While you get an honest portrayal of the connection between the artist and the fans, “The Rolling Stones – Olé Olé Olé! A Trip Across Latin America” really captures it beyond what I’ve seen from others.
The film, which was in theaters for one night only back in December will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on May 26. Seven bonus tracks, totaling about 50 minutes, will be added to the movie for this release.
Olé Olé Olé! A Trip Across Latin America documents the Rolling Stones’ 2016 tour of 10 Latin America cities. Along the way, they played their first show ever in Havana, a free concert that made history last March.
